COCONUT CAKE

Melt one stick of margarine in 9x13 pan (glass is nice) in oven; watch

it doesn’t burn.  Remove and set temp to directions on white cake mix.

Sprinkle a bunch of coconut over the melted margarine. 

 

Prepare cake mix as directed and gently pour over the coconut.  Bake as directed. Immediately pour one cup cold milk over the hot cake.  Let cool completely. 

 

Spread on one large container of Cool Whip and sprinkle over more coconut.  Keep in refrigerator. 

 

This recipe was a finalist in a local Newspaper cooking contest.
