The Cranberry Dish

3 cups  tart apples peeled and chopped
2 cups fresh cranberries
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup oatmeal in the round box
1/2 cup broken pecans
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 sticks melted butter
sprinkle some cinnamon and nutmeg over apples and cranberries

Mix apples, cranberries and pour white sugar, and cinnamon, nutmeg over.
In another bowl mix oats, brown sugar and melted butter.
Butter a 2 Qt. casserole. Place apples, and cranberries in dish.
Top with oats, brown sugar, pecans, and melted butter that has been mixed together well.
       Bake for about 45min.  at 325.
here is what I do different. I use a 3QT. casserole, and use much more of everything!! You can't add to much, and you need it really full. Apples and berries cook down so much.
Don't skimp on the sugar!!
