Yams and Apples


5 medium sweet potatoes


2 apples


1 teaspoon butter or margarine


teaspoon cinnamon


1/3 cup light corn syrup


Peel sweet potatoes and apples. Slice thin. In large pot, heat cup water boiling. Add potatoes. Simmer for about five minutes. Add apples, butter, vanilla extract and cinnamon. Cook over low heat for about five minutes. Add corn syrup and cook until tender.
