Red Velvet Cake

1 box Duncan Hines butter cake mix (however I think any box cake mix will do)

1 teaspoon cocoa

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup buttermilk

1 ounce red food coloring

1 stick of butter

3 eggs

1 teaspoons baking soda

1 tablespoon vinegar

Grease & flour cake pans combine cake mix and cocoa. Add vanilla, buttermilk, food coloring, butter and eggs. Blend until moist. Add soda and vinegar. Beat four minutes at medium speed. Bake at 375 for 25-30 minutes.

Frosting for Red Velvet Cake

8 ounces cream cheese

1 stick butter

1 box powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup chopped pecans

Cream together the cream cheese & butter. Add powdered sugar & vanilla, beating well. Stir in pecans
